Andra Day, the Oscar-nominated singer and actress, will sing “Lift Every Voice and Sing”, also known as the Black national anthem. Andra Day rose to fame with her 2016 hit, “Rise Up”, which became an anthem of hope and resilience for many people. She also made her acting debut in the 2024 film, “The United States vs. Billie Holiday”, where she portrayed the legendary jazz singer and earned critical acclaim. Andra Day will deliver a stirring and inspiring performance of the historic song, which celebrates the Black culture and history.
The pregame show will be produced and arranged by Adam Blackstone, the Emmy-winning musical director and producer, who has worked with artists like Justin Timberlake, Rihanna, Jay-Z, and Alicia Keys. The show will also feature American Sign Language performers, who will interpret the songs for the deaf and hard-of-hearing community.
