Cricket World Cup in 2023

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced that India will host the 13th Cricket World Cup in 2023. This will be the fourth time that India has hosted the tournament, and the first time that it will host it alone.

The World Cup is the pinnacle of One Day International (ODI) cricket, and it is one of the most watched sporting events in the world. The 2019 World Cup in England was watched by over 2.6 billion people worldwide, and the 2023 World Cup is expected to be even more popular.

Ten teams will compete in the 2023 World Cup: Afghanistan, Australia, Bangladesh, England, India, Netherlands, New Zealand, Pakistan, South Africa, and Sri Lanka. The teams will be divided into two groups of five, and each team will play the other teams in their group once. The top four teams from each group will advance to the quarterfinals, and the winners of the quarterfinals will advance to the semifinals. The final will be played on November 19, 2023 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

The World Cup is a major event for India, both culturally and economically. It is expected to generate billions of dollars in revenue for the country, and it will also be a major showcase for Indian culture and hospitality.
